As a credit reference agency, we are often instructed to either obtain evidence of means or carry out covert pre suing reports on debtors. This is usually following the repossession of a vehicle and county court judgement being obtained. This obviously allows the respective finance house to access the capabilities of the debtor to discharge his liability

At KIS we offer a friendly service, through interview, in which we sit down with the debtor and assess their means. From this we arrive at an appropriate offer of payment. This then provides you, the creditor, a full and correct insight into the appropriate action to take.
During such a visit, discreet assessments of true residential address, its nature (private etc.) and relevant details such as existing assets etc, are initially evaluated for your information.
In view of the publication of the recent Wolff report and the recommendations made, we feel that we are likely to be instructed more and more in relation to Pre-Sue Reports by both Litigation Solicitors acting upon behalf of Finance houses and individual clients. |
